Mizoram Science, Technology & Innovation Council observe National Science Day every year on 28th February to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman on 28th February, 1928. The Day is celebrated every year to widely spread a message about the Importance of science used in the daily life of the people. Various events are organised based on the themes selected for each year such as lectures, debates, live programme, exhibition, quiz competitions, watching the night sky, debates, exhibitions and many more activities.
