Gaps in technology and infrastructure

1. Lack of infrastructure for trade promotion

Lengpui town is the entry point and exit point for most tourists as it is the only airport in Mizoram. Therefore, it can easily be a trade-hub and a platform to showcase products made in Mizoram. However, most of the shops are small shops at the corner of the house and roadside vendors. Facilities for trade promotion such as shopping complexes, infrastructure facilities for promotion of tourism, ethnic and traditional stores will surely boost the service sector of the state and generate employment to the people in Lengpui.
