On behalf of ‘Climate Change Awareness Programme’ under the initiative of State Climate Change Cell, Mizoram Science, Technology & Innovation Council (MISTIC), Pentecostal Youth Department, Bethlehem has organized ‘CLEANING OF IMPORTANT RIVER AROUND AIZAWL CITY’ at Chite river on 26th March, 2022.
On this day an important message on climate change was read out with the aim of raising concerns about climate change, advancing climate action in cities, and informing the participants of alternative approaches. As a part of awareness, a member of Bethlehem PYD has cleaned the river bank by picking up plastic and non-biodegradable waste. The collected waste was then transferred to Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) dumping ground, Tuirial for further processing.
