Climate Change Awareness through Cleaning of River/Stream (Tuikual stream)
On behalf of ‘Climate Change Awareness Programme’ under the initiative of State Climate Change Cell, Mizoram Science, Technology & Innovation Council (MISTIC), General PYD Choir, UPCNEI has organized ‘CLEANING OF IMPORTANT RIVER AROUND AIZAWL CITY’ at Tuikual Lui on 26th March,2022.
On this day an important message on climate change was read out with the aim of raising concerns about climate change, advance climate action in cities and inform the participants of alternative approaches. As a part of awareness, choir member has cleaned the river bank by picking up plastic and non-biodegradable waste. The collected waste were then transferred to AMC dumping ground, Tuirial for further processing.
