Climate Change Awareness through Cleaning of River/Stream (Tuikual stream 2)

On behalf of ‘Climate Change Awareness Programme’ under the initiative of State Climate Change Cell, Mizoram Science, Technology & Innovation Council (MISTIC), Pentecostal Youth Department, Dinthar, Aizawl has organized ‘CLEANING OF IMPORTANT RIVER AROUND AIZAWL CITY’ at Tuikual Lui on 26^th March,2022.

On this day an important message on climate change was read out with the aim of raising concerns about climate change, advancing climate action in cities, and informing the participants of alternative approaches. As a part of awareness, a member of Dinthar PYD has cleaned the river bank by picking up plastic and non-biodegradable waste. The collected wastes were then transferred to Aizawl Municipal Corporation dumping ground, Tuirial for further processing.
